Description

Gorgeous Italian bureau of the late seventeenth century in solid walnut, an example of refined late Baroque cabinetmaking. The piece of furniture features a elegant and well-proportioned architectural structure, with drop-down table which, once opened, reveals an interior organized with small drawers and document compartments, ideal for storing correspondence and personal items. The lower part is supported by four turned and sculpted legs, connected by a cross-shaped crosspiece, typical of Italian manufactures of the period. The front and the bands are decorated with geometric moldings and carvings with a sober but refined style, while the warm and deep walnut patina It testifies to the quality of the wood and the long history of the piece.
