Description
Important finely carved solid wood desk, an expression of late nineteenth-century cabinetmaking.
The top is topped by an elegant raised bed with small drawers and decorated panels, ideal for organizing documents and writing objects. The front panel and drawers are embellished with rich floral carvings and plant motifs, executed with great care and depth, which give movement and prestige to the whole.
The structure rests on torchon-shaped legs, united by a shaped crosspiece with turned elements, a typical detail of 19th-century artisan tradition. The wood's warm patina enhances the natural grain and gives the piece an authentic, textured charm.
Solid and scenic, this desk represents a perfect balance between functionality and decorative refinement, ideal for a classic study or to create a refined contrast in contemporary environments.
