A handsome antique oak partner’s desk, combining generous storage with the solid, well-proportioned character of a traditional English writing desk. The top is inset with rich red leather, finished with an elegant gilt-tooled Greek key border that provides a refined contrast to the warm grain of the oak. Designed as a true partner’s desk, it is finished and functional on both sides, allowing two people to work opposite one another. The substantial twin pedestals provide an excellent arrangement of drawers, fitted with brass handles, while the panelled construction and restrained detailing give the piece a strong architectural presence.
